On October 20th, 2019, I conducted a workshop with Team SPEC on the Internet of Things (IoT) for first-year students. The workshop aimed to help students get a better understanding of simple IoT projects such as smart mirrors, smart garbage, fire alarm, and familiarize them with the basics of development boards (Node MCU) and their circuitry. Students showed great interest in the topic and its application, which inspired them to develop their projects there. They got acquainted with guided BLYNK applications. They even got introduced to the IFTTT service integration platform that enabled them to monitor their led bulb via Google's assistant.
I have conducted a workshop on Arduino along with Team SPEC, which was an immersive and open workshop for students to teach them Arduino programming basics. Students ' participation was over 220 in number, and due to an excellent response from the audience, we also extended it to another day and successfully conducted Day 2 of the Arduino Sensor Interface Workshop. The students were taught how to create their own game of Dino-Cactus via ultrasonic sensor and a blue bot.
